128K on a 68000 based machine is not a "bunch of memory." It is about as little as you can get away with. Ask some of the 128K Macintosh owners how they like having 128K. The Mac has 64K of tightly coded utilities in ROM, and people are still finding 128K inadequate. The OS, a bit mapped graphics screen, and some utilities will eat up 128K pretty quick.
