[net.micro.cbm] Looking for a Public Domain Mini-Assembler

mab@druxp.UUCP (BlandMA) (12/13/84)

Hello!

I'm looking for the source code to a mini-assembler for the Commodore 64.
By "mini-assembler" I mean a non-symbolic assembler, the type that is
included with many machine language monitors. The source code must be in
assembler (no BASIC or disassemblies, please).

It seems that I've heard of such a beast that is in the public domain.
It was originally written for the PET and has been adapted to the 64.
Pointers to magazine articles or user groups that could supply me with
the source would be greatly appreciated.

The source to a machine language monitor that includes a mini-assembler
would also be acceptable. I need to be able to extract the mini-assembler
functionality and make some modifications. I have several monitors
already, and don't really feel up to extracting the mini-assembler from
a disassembly, so I really want the source.

Please mail replies. I'll summarize to the net. Thanks in advance!
