I am currently writing a small compiler for a 64. I would like to include floating point but if it requires writing it myself then I'm going to pass. The 64 already has the software to perform the floating point and several functions so I would prefer to use what is already there. Since there are many intelligent users on this network (this is to ensure a response), I thought I would post here. Surely, there is some way to get to the routines (yes there is, and stop calling me Shirley ??) ? Then again, maybe not. You be the judges. While I am here, I have seen a disk copier just recently (4 minute copier ??, is that right ?) that even duplicated bad sectors (blocks, in C64 jargon, barff...). How does one do this, as someone else put "... a disk drive that's smarter than your computer" ? And to top it all off, what I wouldn't give for a 16-bit accumulator, a 16-bit index register, and a real stack (for less than $39.95, almost).
