[net.micro.cbm] C64 guts

dm@ncsu.UUCP (01/02/85)

I am new to the C64 and would like some info that is either not
available or not clear in the programmer's reference manual. Can
any of you C64 hackers help?

1. Where can I find the entry points for Basic internal routines
such as floating point routines, functions, etc. Can these
be called from machine language? What are the calling conventions?

2. Is it possible to call a machine language program from Basic to read
in data from a port and store it in an array that is then available
for subsequent processing in Basic? How are Basic arrays allocated?

3. In the discussion of the RS-232 interface in the manual, some provision
seems to have been made for non-standard baud rates. However, I am not
sure if it has been implemented. Has it?

   Please reply by mail.
