[net.micro.cbm] PROMAL query

Just received a 10 page brochure from SMA on PROMAL, their HLL to P-code
compiler. Looks pretty good in the hype-sheet, naturally. Anyone have any
first-hand experience?

I too have recently gotten the PROMAL hype sheet. The sheet was very
effective in convincing me to order the product. I almost sent for it.

Here are the catches. Listed out of context with the rest of the hype they
look somewhat more serious, and this is what decided me against buying
PROMAL immediately.

    No data structures (records)
    Only 1-dimensional arrays
    No RS232 device support
compilation speed is 10 lines per second (not that fast)
    no support for graphics

They promise to fix most of these problems in subsequent versions. Then I
will buy. Right now, if I buy something it is more likely to be Pascal,
probably from Abacus. Anybody got one of these yet? How about a review?
