I purchased an MSD dual drive a couple of months ago and started having problems from the start with (gulp) overheating. After a couple of hours of use (at room temperature), some of the files I was working on would get damaged. It would no longer successfully 'new' diskettes either. There is a happy ending. I called MSD, they gave me authorization to return it to the factory. It only took a total of 13 days from the time I dropped the old one off at the UPS office util I received the new one (yes, they sent me a new drive)! I only have played with the new drive for a couple of minutes, but even so it has a 'cleaner' sound to it. The old one had kind of a scraping sound. Conclusion: MSD is *very* responsive to problems. They must have shipped the drive back to me the same day! - dave - Dave Funk Zehntel, Inc. 2625 Shadelands Drive Walnut Creek, CA 92598 (415) 932-6900 x309 ....!ucbvax!zehntel!dave ....!decvax!sytek!zehntel!dave ...."zehntel!dave"@BERKELEY
