[SOME programs have bugs!] OK, netpeople, should I take a 500 or so dollar plunge and buy a Commodore 64 with floppy disk? (Actually, latest prices at toys r us: C64 = 139- , disk = 199-) All I basically would use it for is to play INFOCOM games. And maybe as a remote terminal from home to work. First, I would like to know: how do the INFOCOM games as adapted for the C64 come across - as polished as the much-more-nicely-packaged versions available for the Apples and IBMs? Or are they shoddy ports, as unattractive as their Commodore-issue cartons? Second, is it absurd to think of using a 2400 modem to let's say, a VAX 11/785 running ULTRIX - can the C64 be used as an ANSI-compatable terminal with the appropriate software, and if so, at what cost? Please respond to me by direct e-mail if possible, as I am away from the net for extended periods. And thanks in advance. rob {allegra,ihnp4,decvax}!philabs!hhb!rob
