[net.micro.cbm] Anyone have Cardco's "G-WIZ" printer interface?

dwl10@amdahl.UUCP (Dave Lowrey) (06/10/85)

Last months COMPUTE! had an a for Cardco's newest printer interface
for Commodore computers. It is called the G-WIZ.

The following features are claimed:
o List price is 30% cheaper that the +G
o Built in buffer (2.5 min. to dump a graphics screen)
o 'Aspect Ratio Selection' to get a true hardcopy of what is on
the screen (Since commodore pixels are taller than they are wide)
o Plus all the features of the +G

Has anyone purchased this marvel of engineering? If so, what is your
opinion. How large is the buffer? What printer do you use with it?

My dealer says that he will order it, but I don't want to unless I can
either see it in action, or get re-assurances from someone else.

Any discount places selling it? How about Toys (backward)R Us?

Any info would be welcome.
