[net.micro.cbm] Disc Back-up program needed

wjb@rayssd.UUCP (William J. Brogan) (10/10/85)

Having finally made the plunge and bought a disc drive for my c-64,
and invested heavily in alot of commercial software (mostly games), I need
some advice/recommendations.

What I need is a good copier program I can use to make back-ups
of my discs, most off which are protected. The discs I want to back-up
come from companies which include Broderbund, Electronic Arts,
Stategic Simulations Inc., Avalon Hill, and Micro-prose.
I am looking for something (hopefully) that is capable of copying discs
from all these companies.

Until I got the disc drive I was using mostly stuff I had written
myself. Now that I've got all these new discs around in a high risk
environment (a dog who will find and chew anything, no matter
how cleverly hidden), I don't want to be mailing mauled discs and
five dollars more to software companies when the inevitable happens.

Any suggestions, recommendations, or reviews are welcome, and
appreciated.

						Thanks
