[net.micro.cbm] commodore 64 and "vi"

I am writing this for a friend who has a Commodore 64 and would like to
use it to communicate with a Unix Vax at work.  Specifically is there
a way to set up a "termcap" or is there any communications software that
would allow use of the "vi" editor?
