HELP!!!!!!!! If anyone out there can help me with this problem I would greatly appreciate it: I have recently started working with a Commodore 64. This is my first exposure to micros so I'm dealing with a lot of new things here. My problem: I am trying to write a program in basic to download patches from my Rhodes Chroma through midi to diskette, using a J.L. Cooper 'Chromaface'. I don't have the Chromaface yet, but am trying to get some of the code out of the way before I have need the Chromaface to do any actual testing. I want to send some midi commands to the Chroma to do things like put it in 'save' and 'load' mode which it uses for it's cassette interface etc. I have the midi 1.0 spec, but where do I start when it comes to the system exclusive codes????? Do I have to wait until I get the Chroma face and then ask J.L. Cooper???? Do I have to try (again) to get the computer interface manual from Chroma??? Is there some kind of basic 'hack' that I can write to send one code after another with automatic incrementation down the midi channels until I actually see something change on the front panel???? Any answers to these questions and/or helpful advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.
