I looked over the documentation for the Abacus Super- Pascal compiler with a friend who wants Pascal for his C-64, and I could not determine the following: - When executing a program that uses input files, how/when/where do you tell it the name of the file(s) on disk to use? - Given that a string variable in the program contains the name of a disk file that needs to be opened for input, what Pascal statements will cause the file to be opened? - Can a compiled Super-Pascal program be run from outside the development environment (from the main command-level)? Do you know of a good Pascal compiler for C-64? The main considerations are execution speed and flexibility in dealing with files. I would greatly appreciate any answers. I prefer replies sent directly to me, unless it is not convenient, then just reply to net.micro.cbm. Thank you, Hans Lachman lachman@ucla-locus.arpa [ucbvax | ihnp4]!ucla-cs!lachman
