Thanks for all the replies concerning my article on the pseudo-problem
I was having on my c64.  As you all have gathered by now, I was mistaken.
(I'll go stand in the corner for a while)

Considering how long I've used my c64, I'm surprised that I haven't noticed this
characteristic of the load command before.  To be honest, I feel a little 
stupid.  I usually make it a rule now to advertise my ignorance.  Sometimes
it just overwelms me.
