[net.micro.cbm] VIC II Chip needed for C-64

   I need a little help.  A little while ago my C-64 developed a little
 problem with its VIC-II chip (6567) and so I need to replace it; however,
 looking for one has not been very easy.  So far the cheepest one that I
 have found is from JAMECO and it costs $44.95.  That seems a little
 expensive to me since I have seen C-64s for about $100.  What I would
 like to know is if anyone out there might be able to give me an idea
 where I might be able to find a 6567 for less than the above stated price.
 I would like to get the 64 working on its own again and would appreciate
 any help.
