There is no difference between the C-64 and the C-64c other than the casing.
As for GEOS, as it stands it is a cute new operating system for the 64 that
allows for a Mac-like environment.

The desk accessories are nice but as
for geoPaint and geoWrite, wait for future releases. geoPaint is strictly
a hires graphics application with no options for multi-color mode. Also it
works with nice sized grouping of printers, most of which print graphics at
60 dots per inch, but GEOS operates at 80 dpi.

As for geoWrite, it has the same printer problem, but does not support either
sub/super script modes nor does it have any search feature. It is strictly a
type and print utility with fonts.

As far as fonts go, there are 5 that come with the package and I am told that
there are more on the way. There is also a more desk accessories on the way,
so as I have stated, wait for future releases.
		Remember,
			Patience is a virture.

Yes. (posted for other C64 owners out there as well...)

But regardless of all that, the answer to the posted question is that
yes, GEOS will run on an "old" C64. And, no, I won't be drawn into the
debate on how useful this software is at present.

I have received a version (1.1 I think) as an update which does allow
multi-color geoPaint files. At least the documentation says it does, I
haven't yet had time to boot it up.
