In regards to questions on the Geos operating system. I support the general consensus that at the moment its not real useful. I am in a correspondence battle at the moment trying to determine when they are going to be releasing a manual for third-party users to write programs for their os. They originally told me it would be mid June. However, I recieved a letter July 27 that was dated May 29 that the manual was almost done. A subsequent phone call to a secretary there gave me the info that the manual is not due out until December and was never expected to be ready until then?????? I sent a letter to the engineer there and hopefully will get a reply sometime soon???? In general I think the GEOS system is something to be reckoned with. The fact that it speeds up operation, has an apparently wide range of printers it is able to print to, and finally that they are supposedly shipping it with all new c64 and c128 will be a big boost to some programs. If they will start supporting third-party users I expect it will take off quite quickly. If I hear anymore about the programmers manual I will send a note. ken goodnow
