I have used the Skyles product now for almost two years. When doing rapid head movements such as the Commodore Assembler does when compiling, some strange characters would enter the source and cause faulty compilation. I always had to switch "down" to avoid this problem. I though that the physical shaking/vibrating was causing the clipped on leads to drop a bit occationally. So I soldered them on the chip pins very carefully. The problem went away. But then I noticed that games that change scenes using the disk would start to corrupt after about 1/2 hour of play. It looked like a heat problem (which may or may not be due to the additional Skyles hardware). I have an oooooold 1540 white disk drive, ROM upgraded to a 1541 when I bought the 64, and now ROM upgraded for Flash!. Anyway, boring a hole in the top and mounting a Radio Shack blower fan for $20 seems to have fixed the problem again. Hope this helps a buyer with questions. (I cannot stand to use a slow 64 now. I would rather read a book.) Scott McPhee @ U of Eh? (only in Canada, pity)
