[net.micro.cbm] C128 being discontinued?

GTI@PSUVMA.BITNET (10/04/86)

I recently red in an article somewhere that the C128 was going to be
discontinued in lew of production of a newer model of computer possibly
the C64C+ or C256. Is any of this true or just some rumor that is being
spread by some competitor of commodore. Since I'm a loyal Commodore user
now with a C128 (which replaced my TI 99/4A, i hated being an orphan and
would not like to return to that condition) and think that the C128 is an
excellent machine.

Thanks in advance

No way is the C128 being discontinued. In fact, CBM just had orders for
many more than were anticipated this month.
