This group has (hopefully) been created to serve as an information exchange to all those interested in enjoying nude recreation. I have for the past few years been going to the nude beaches in Oregon and have found it to be a very pleasant experience. I later joined the Naturists and was well pleased with that organization. The general idea behind the Naturists is that nature, and the rest of this world, is something that we do not have to hide behind our clothes to enjoy. Oregon is fortunate to be blessed with many naturally beautiful hot springs, as well as some fine beaches along the Columbia River and the Columbia Gorge. We are not likely to find these things out from a typical Oregon travel guide, though (maybe 10 years from now we might?). I received some enthusiastic response over a month ago when I tested the "waters" of the net to get people's opinion about a new group such as this. The only person who responded with less than a positive opinion said he thought there were already too many newsgroups. When I asked him for more details, he then said (as I remember) that Americans would not react well to the ideas of Naturism. Well, i guess time will tell if there are enough of us to make a dent. If you want some particular information, I've got lots of it. I think that at the least this may become a group with some dedicated adherents. Charles Perkins tektronix!iddic!charliep
