First, there is the 52nd ASA convention during the week of August 8-14. This is being held at the Willamettans in Eugene, which is a truly fine club with many enjoyable facilities and a nice location in the hills. Their number is in the phone book. Also, on August 6 and 7 there is the Strawberry Festival at Restful Haven, which is located close to Mountaindale off of hwy 26 (Sunset highway). Since so many people will be here for the convention, it is likely that a lot of people will show up for the Strawberry Festival also. The week after that, August 20-21, will be the 50th anniversary of Squaw Mountain Ranch, which is out close to Estacada. Preparations to celebrate the 50th have been proceeding all year, and a good time is sure to be had by all. All of these clubs are listed in the appropriate phone books. If you are an ASA member, bring your card with you. Otherwise you should call ahead and make preparations with the clubs. If you are a member of the Portland Naturists, I have made preparations for you to be admitted with your card. I am sending out the next newsletter this week with more information; look for it soon. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Portland Naturist, respond to me by mail or give me a call. The first Saturday of September is now officially designated as Rooster Rock cleanup day. You will probably hear more about this soon, maybe even on TV. I hope that nudenet folks in other parts of the country don't mind these regional announcements. I will post them perhaps once a month or so. Charles Perkins Tektronix
