For long-range planning, the following information from "Clothed with the Sun" might be useful. The size of the Naturist movement makes it desirable to hold yearly regional conventions to meet other Naturists and participate in SIG workshops as well as just enjoy a couple of days. The regional conferences planned are: 1) West Coast '84 Gathering. Place: Shangri La Resort, near Phoenix. Dates: April 20-22, Easter Weekend. It is suggested that participants try to make a few days before the Gathering to take a leisurely visit to Arizona in this time of flowering of the desert. Locals will lead an expedition to the Verde River Hot Springs if water level permits, and other excursions will be recommended. 2) East Coast '84 Gathering. Place: Sunny Rest Lodge, Palmerton, Penn. Dates: June 22-24. The Atlantic Coast's fastest-growing nudist resort offers a lovely mountain site, ample camping and dining, many recreational pleasures in a location that serves New England and Middle Atlantic states and far inland. We expect to welcome many naturists who've been discouraged by distances in earlier years. 3) Northwest '84 Gathering. Place: Rajneeshpuram and River Trip, Oregon. Dates: 2d-3d weeks of July.
