() The latest item in net.rec.nude at our site was on Aug 27. Surely this newsgroup gets more traffic than that. If this gets out, can anyone out there let me know if I'm missing news? If this catagory is only going through a brief slow period, perhaps it's time to stir things up a bit. I have some concerns about naturist's perceptions on privacy. Not only as it relates to gawkers, but also photographers, both 'outsiders' and naturists. The last 'Clothed with the Sun' had an article on naturists and photography I found to be disturbing. Well, I don't want to go into that now, first have to see if there's anyone out there.... -- "Trivia is important." Ron Christian (syntax bug) Watkins-Johnson Co. San Jose, Calif. (...ios!wjvax!ron)

This isn't really a flame, although it may sound like one. You asked if there is anyone on this newsgroup. Yes, there are people out here, but if you lived in this part of the country, as I do, you wouldn't be thinking along these lines right now--you'd be thinking about down parkas and shovelling snow. As much as I'd like to think about summer activities, winter is just around the corner... Lucky you for living in California! -- Network: decvax!cca!heiser USPS: Bill Heiser, Kendall Sq. How tantalizing! What was "disturbing" about the photography/naturists article? Was it "for" or "against" photography, or did it discuss the details, such as hassles from developers regarding pictures of nudes, or what?

Andy, As interesting as the "sauna in the snow" sounds, I'd much rather be thinking about a dip in a pool in a cold mountain stream (in August) than sloshing around in the snow... In magazines, I've seen articles on the use of these saunas in the wintertime. I guess they are popular in places like Vermont, Alaska, and Northern California. I don't know why those places, but I guess maybe it has something to do with the "remoteness" of those locations. From what I've read, this can be a stimulating experience; I guess the change from hot, humid air to the icy-cold snow is pretty invigorating. -- Network: decvax!cca!heiser USPS: Bill Heiser, Kendall Sq.
