Here are some nice California nude beaches you might try visiting:

     1. Baker's Beach. It's just south of the Northern California town
of Trinidad. It's unmarked, but not real hard to find. Just take
Patrick's Point Drive south of Trinidad on a warm sunny day until
you reach a bunch of cars. If you get to Luffenholtz beach, you've
gone to far. The beach is small, but very striking: redwoods,
streams rocks and ocean waves. College Cove, north of Trinidad,
used to be one of my favorite haunts, but I hear that it is no
         longer a nude beach.

     2. Pirate's Cove, at Avila Beach. Avila Beach is on the coast south
west of San Luis Obispo. It's a neat beach, but can get petty
crowded on a warm summer Saturday. My recommendation is to go
there during the week. To get there, take the road to Avila Beach
from US 101 and turn left, up the hill on the first road you can
after you see the golf course on the right.

     3. Pirate's Cove, Dume Cove, Pt Dume, Malibu. I used to frequent the
Point Dume area of Malibu while I was in High School, and for quite
a few summers thereafter. I'm not real sure if nude bathing is
permitted there any more. Dume Cove is the small cove walking
distance from Westward Ho beach (next to Zuma), and Pirate's Cove
is the rather large and uncrowded (at least then) beach between
Paradise Cove and Pt. Dume itself. Parking was a problem. I had
to park about a mile from the beach, then trespass over private,
but undeveloped property to get there.

There are many more that I know of in California, although not
necessarily beaches, many are just nice places along rivers to relax in the
sun and play in the water. If you are interested in knowing some of them,
just drop me a letter. Many are close to being inaccessable (and therefor
uncrowded) and many others are easily found (but also uncrowded).

Now I'd like to know if there is anyone who knows of good places
to absorb some all-over rays up here in the State of Washington. Since
moving up here my California tan has wilted away to an amorphous pallor.
