Puleez! Let's not pollute these net.rec.nude waters (or the sand) with gay/straight tolerance flames. An observation: Those at a nude beach are *generally* more tolerant of alternate lifestyles (nude sunbathing is an alternate lifestyle), but (and I'm afraid this is a big butt), most nude beaches exist upon the sufferance (and also ignorance) of the surrounding communities, most of which are of the sex==evil variety (or have *vocal* subgroups of that variety). A major reason for these beaches being tolerated is that the patrons aver (loudly and often) nude!=sex (and therefore nude!=evil, and sometimes nude==better!). This is what has lead to the general frowning upon of PDAs (for those who didn't see the definition earlier-- Public Displays of Affection), by either straights or gays. In other words, "don't use it, or we'll lose it." Around here, at Sandy Hook (part of the "Jersey Shore"), there is a gay section somewhat south of the straight. PDAs are held to a minimum at both. The major pollution at both (aside from NYC garbage) is gawking teenagers with no manners.
