A Day at the Beach
Last Monday was a public holiday (Australia day), so I took my
children to the beach. We arrived to find that recent rain had
washed much of the sand away, but we were able to find space to
spread our towels, and spend five hours wearing sun-tan lotion and
sun hats, in bright sunshine and pleasant company.
Reef beach is one of three isolated Nude Beaches on Sydney Harbour
and my personal favourite (its closest). Very much a family beach
there are many children of all ages playing naked in the sun and
water. The beach is surrounded by bush* so there are very few
'tourists' watching. Reef beach has the essential amenities, and
on warm weekends and public holidays a boat comes round selling
cold drinks and ice-creams.
Recommended.
* Bush - Australian term for native woodlands.
