I recently got a kitten that I named, Sheba. She is the most adorable kitten I've had. And I've had alot of cats. My roommate was terribly worried about having one, but now adores her also. Too many times I've seen people ruled by their animals and that's what my roommate was worried about. But I feel that cats are similar to dogs when it comes to training them. My vet told me that a cat should always be fed canned cat food with dry food to nibble on all the time. I feed her twice a day even though she is 12 wks old, and dry food to nibble on. The books recommend 2Tbs./4 times a day. But he says it also depends on how much you let your cat outside. (Sheba will be an indoor cat because I've had cats that were stolen or run over by cars and I can get very attached to animals.) My mother fed her cats 3 times a day with canned food mixed with dry and left dry food out for them to nibble on with no apparent weight problem as with mine. My sister fed her cats a can of food put down in the morning and left all day and one can the same at night. And to me there were fat cows. There were outdoor cats. I guess it all depends on the owner and whether it is an out- door cat or indoor. Hope I helped, Sugar ihuxe!pjane
