I recently picked up another bug shoo'er and thought I'd pass this new info onto the net. The new unit is called "Pestilator". The apperance is a lot better than the other model I had. It is more cube shaped, with a nice touch of brushed aluminum on the front. (where as the other model was a tall thin plain black plastic box) I won't repeat the advertising hype this time, but here's the revelent info: 120 decibels of sound pressure Dimensions: 4" x 3.75" x 3.5" Power consumption: 1.5 watts Frequency range: 30 Khz to 65 Khz (variable sweep rate) Features that I like about this unit: a) better appearance b) this unit does not have that 60 cycle buzz that the other one does - therefore is not annoying to me at all c) the power pack plugs into the unit instead of being directly connected - I rate this an advantage because I think I could run one of these from my car battery now. This would be handy for such adventures as drive in movies, camping, etc. d) a variable sweep rate (other model didn't state if it swept or had a fixed tone) e) best of all the price is only $39.95 compared to $79.95!!
