I've just started keeping finches, and right now I feed them a pretty standard diet of seeds. What I'm interested in finding out is 1, Is there something else that I should feed them? What's the best finch diet! 2, I'd like to keep some plants in the cage with them for a more "natural" environment; does anyone know of good or bad plants? Debby Kirkman

Debbie The best plants to feed your finches are the ones grown from the seeds you feed them. Put a sponge in a dish in the cage under the seed cup. Keep the sponge wet. Then either the birds or you will drop some seeds on the wet sponge and they will grow into sprouts that the birds will eat. Ron Flannery
