#N:hp-kirk:17400004:000:786 hp-kirk!mark Oct 24 10:09:00 1983 We have recently acquired a Keeshond puppy and it is wonderful; however, we are having great difficulty in one area (actually there are several problems with puppies, but one in particular to this one). Keeshonds are long haired dogs and the area we live in (rural) is infested with burr laden weeds. A ten minute romp though a field must be followed with a 45 minute very trying and somewhat painful grooming (for both the puppy and the groomer). Our long haired cats have a similar problem but a slicker brush will take their burrs out by the dozens without a hitch; the slicker brush is not particularly effective on the dog. Any suggestions?
