We have a large male cat with delicate sensibilties living at
our house. When the litter boxo is not quite up to his specifications,
he finds me, looks me straight in the eye, and does what he needs to
do on the floor at my feet. I think we made a mistake when we named
   him Garfield.

The second mistake would be letting him stay in the house the next two
days or so. Mine have found the garage to be an unpleasant place and
clean up their acts remarkably. I insist that my roommates, felines
and otherwise, engage in minimally civilized behavior. What do you do
to discourage him besides cleaning the box?
