Heard this on the radio this morning. The animal shelter in SF is now taking kittens and puppies out in a mobile adoption center. They are, in effect, bringing the animals to potential adopters. They take the critters to busy steet corners downtown, to shopping malls, basically to anywhere they think people will stop and look. Since after all, who can resist a kitten once they've picked it up and played with it. The have a 100% adopt rate on the cats and an 85% adopt rate on the dogs that they've brought out. This is compared to a nationwide 3% on cats and 10% on dogs. Not bad, Eh? Just thought you might want to know. Ariel (I got mine at the pound) Shattan
