Warning to those using pills for dogs scratching! The two drugs used most commonly for this are VETALOG and PREDISONE which are steroids. For boredome licking, try CHLORMYCITINwhich which is available from your vet. For general scratching problems, bathe with Flea shampoo. Then treat every 3-7 days with flea spray available at your local grocery store. The active ingredients in these types of flea sprays are much less toxic than many remedies available through your vet. Also, many remedies contain pesticides so BE CAREFUL! (Please excuse the mess . . . I am new at this!) .
