[] Plexiglass works fine for doors and windows. Just don't scub it with an abrasive cleaner or steel wool. Here in New Jersey, they passed a law several years ago that mandates the use of plexiglass in all door use situations. So, if you go to get a replacement for that storm door, the shop will only put in plexiglass. It seems there were too many children being cut up when they smacked into the glass doors. I have had plexiglass in my front door for about five years now and can see no difference as yet. T. C. Wheeler
