Snakes! Why does it always have to be SNAKES! - I. Jones

I have a problem. I am the proud owner of a mated pair
of Boa Constrictors, who have bred repetitively in
captivity. Unfortunately, all their breeding activity
occurred under the auspices of their previous owner.
I am convinced I am doing something wrong in terms of
environment: i.e. feeding, humidity, temperature,
day/night cycle, or factors of which i am not aware.
The previous owner did nothing i am not doing, but
she had success and i do not.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

I would also be interested in seeing discussion of
a more general nature on "exotic" pets (reptiles
especially) in this newsgroup. Not that cats and
dogs are unrewarding as pets, its just i don't keep
them myself, and something closer to home would
be welcome.
