Not so.  Our cats are avid "hunters" of anything which moves, and they've
never been outside.  Hunting behavior develops almost as soon as the cats
can move around well - probably before six weeks.  They stalk and pounce
each other, mama (often good for a bat on the head), anything else that
moves and a lot of things that don't.
