I currently have 2 (female) cats at home, and recently had a male "house guest" (i.e., a foster cat from the local humane society). All three ate dry food and seemed to like it. I get IAMS from a decent pet store in the area; even though the male cate was neutered, I knew I didn't have to worry about him developing cystitis. The ash content of IAMS is low so that shouldn't cause problems. You might see if your cat(s) accept tomato juice. I'm told the acidity of the juice helps to prevent cystitis, and all three cats in my household deemed it a prime treat. Mary Ann Zeszutko AT&T Bell Labs, Naperville, IL ihnp4!ihuxf!features
