[net.pets] cat declawing and collars

If you don't send your cat out wearing a collar, I guess it definitely
will not be wearing a bell. I personally hate to see our neighbor's
cats kill birds in my yard (or anywhere else for that matter).
Is there a safe way to bell a cat that will not overly endanger its
life?

My mother prefers a more "natural" method for ridding cats of fleas -
try using Brewer's Yeast! She mixes about a tablespoon full with her
cat's wet food each morning, and he has never had a flea. She also
looked after a neighbor's cat for several months while the neighbor was
away, and completely ridded her cat of fleas. I remember looking at the
bottle once, and it seems that there are lots of vitamins added, so it's
good for the cat in other ways as well.
