It is NOT true of cat-dog fights... In 19 years, I have never had a cat hurt in a cat-dog fight. Cats are too smart to fight a dog if they can't win. However cat-cat fights are a real problem with male cats. Most of the wounds are caused by bites to the head which become abscessed.
