The behavior you are describing is normal for females. I have had several over the years and they have all done this. It seems to be related to their environment...they do this when they're content. Females also seem to do this jumping and twitching more often when they're in heat. Males exhibit a similar behavior ...but their's is a more vocal response (mine whistles when I enter theroom and also chatters to himself when alone). Hope this helps. Linda
