Here's a reminder for all of you who will be taking your pet on vacation this summer: TAG YOUR PET WITH YOUR SUMMER ADDRESS! I'll be taking my dog to Cape Cod next week and I realized that her NJ tags are not going to help if she gets lost up there. I'm planning on taping a label with our temporary address to the back of her rabies tag. If you normally vacation in the same place, i.e. a summer house, by all means order an id tag for your pet - I can imagine that it would be very difficult to track down the owner when the tag is out-of-state. Hope this suggestion helps. -- Amy Casadevall Bell Communications Research, Inc., Holmdel, NJ ...!ihnp4!houxm!homxa!amyola

Suppose you lose the pet while on vacation and fail to find it before you must return home? This way if the pet was later found it could be traced to its owner. Be Kind to Animals.

I can imagine the tag now: HELLO. I AM A CAT. MY NAME IS FIDO. IF FOUND, DROP IN ANY MAIL BOX. RETURN POSTAGE GUARANTEED.
