My Mother-in-law has been having a problem with her Blue point Persian. "Ashley" has gotten in the bad habit of not using her litter!!! She uses the Oriental rug instead!! My Father-in-law is ready to get rid of her. They think it stems from last summer. Ashley went into heat around the time my sister-in-law was getting married. She did all of the normal stuff, became anti-social and started howling and making terrible noises! She did other things which I can't remember but it really bothered my in-laws. They had wanted to breed her but after going through that decided against it and had her spayed. Ever since then she has had "accidents," she started going on any newspaper that was lying around, she even went on my father-in-law's brief case that was lying open on the floor!! She usually picked things that were on the floor. My Mother-in-law thought she had her cured of it (don't ask me how!) but she started it all over again about a month ago when their Miniature Schnauzer went into heat for the first time. Ashley then started on the Oriental in the same spot always and also on the cushion of the sofa!! Has anyone ever had this problem before? If so, is there anything that can be done? As it is now Ashley spends all of her time in the basement because she can't be trusted. She is a beautiful cat (even though I am allergic to her). She normally doesn't use her litter until my Mother-in-law puts her in it!! My Mother-in-law says "HELP!!!!!!" Nancy Walter Digital, Northboro, MA
