I have a different problem, which could have been posted to NET.PESTS, if one existed. I have had a second (or is it third) group of mice born in our wood pile next to the house. I am concerned that they will start to migrate into the house when the weather starts to get colder. I have two cats, but they are only interested in watching the mice, not catching them. Besides, the mice are out of reach of their paws (the wood pile is 2 feet in width--much longer than their legs can stretch). How does one recommend getting rid of the little pesties??? I thought of 'rat poison', but with the cats outside, I felt that was not a good idea. Do mouse traps really work and do cats stay away from the traps, or does curiousity get the better of them?? I realize that this topic may not be appropriate for this group, but I was tired of reading the debate about declawing cats. Nicki Lipp Colorado Springs
