This brings up an interesting thing that happened this last week.
We have 5 cats. They love our electric blanket, and when it is
on, our bed becomes quite crowded! But in the summer, we usually
have just one cat in bed with us, the older female.

We have had the blanket on the bed, but not turned on, for the past
month. This week it snowed here (yes, you heard me), and we turned
on the blanket.

It took about an hour for all cats to be in bed with us.

I have been wondering--how did they know? Did word go around the
house "The people have that wonderful warm thing again," or did they
just smell the scent of toasting humans?
