I have a caiman (like a small alligator) and he is getting some white spots all over his face. he lives in a 30 gallon shallow tank (actually a skylight turned over and filled with water). when I was transferring him to this larger tank he was in colder water for a few days. the water temp is now about 75 degrees. I have a heater and filter in the tank. he eats mice and fish. I asked the pet store about the spots and they indicated that it might be ick (sp). I bought some additives to put in the water to kill ick. He still has the spots and they dont really seem to spread to the harder areas of skin. Does anyone know what this problem could be? I have been unable to find many books on reptile diseases. He seems happy and eats a lot. Any info would be helpful. thanks chuck gerarden ihnp4!drutx!druhi!vuser
