I picked up a flyer from Micropro (Wordstar) at the last NCC which
proposes a seemingly attractive offer for Apple II owners.
If you buy Wordstar (or Infostar) before August 31, then they will
give you FREE:
"6 Mhz Z-80B Processor
64K RAM Memory on the board
CP/M 2.2 Operating System
2k EPROM on the board
70 Column high-resolution capability (separate 80-column board
not needed)
Shift Modification Device for upper and lower case
Expansion Interface Port for extra memory, parallel or serial
board, or networking
Communicates with Apple through parallel port
40-255 column horizontal scroll capability
Supports popular Apple peripherals including 80 column boards,
floppy and hard disk drives, and printers"
This sounds almost too good to be true. Has anyone had any experience
with this offer, or have any knowledge further than that on the flyer?
In particular, I would be interested to know if the 70 Column card
would be compatible with software intended for the Videx 80 column
card.
