Does anyone know of a good Fortran Compiler for the 8086???
		Thanks

Intel's Fortran 86 compiler is good, it supports Fortran 77 with
character data types, ect... However it is expensive, and currently runs
under the RMX 86 operating system and the ISIS series III os.

It compiles routines to run with a 'large' model segmentation- ie every
routine has its own code and data segments.

Oops! I think you either haven't used the compiler much or we have just
had bad luck -- the first version of the compiler we had had major bugs
with the INTEGER*4 data type and the new version they sent us has some
problems with integer division type of stuff -- I don't recall exactly what
it was, but our programmer was finally able to find a way to bypass it,
I think by switching data types...

Oh, by the way -- iNTEL was only about a year behind schedual in delivering
our new version. I believe that they know about the latest bugs but aren't
bothering to fix it or even acknowledge it unless you get a full service
contract with them for upkeep. Our salesman was telling us about some new
kind of partial service contract they were going to offer, but...

Chock up another for that big micro family.
