BASCOM runs fine on an 8080 machine.  It has a switch to 
cause code generation to be optimized for the Z80 superset,
which can be the source of compatibility problems if you are
using pre-compiled application programs.  Otherwise, without
the /Z flag, everything is 8080 compatible.
