Just so people dont think I died I thought I would give an update on the BDOS Open patch: The patch is in and seems to be runing fine. It has some interesting and often undesired side effects when running pip to do file copying from one user to another. This can be overcome by using the disable searching command to bpath (the Bios PATHing utility I wrote) but then COM files cant be found either if they are not in your own area so... I have added yet another enable-able search feature: search on open if the file is .COM, but this coding is not yet installed and checked out but will be this weekend if all goes well.
