From: Keith Petersen <W8SDZ@mit-mc> The overlays from one version to another are generally NOT compatible because the position of certain JMPs and DSs changes from version to version depending upon the code used. I have spoken to Irv Hoff about this MANY times, trying to get him to use a generalized approach where a large table of JMPs is located starting at 103H to point to the various routines used in the user area. This is the approach that is used with the commercial modem program BSTAM by Byrom Software. The overlays from the first version work just as well with the latest one. For MDM7xx this would mean not having to release the overlays with each new revision of the main program. Why are you still attempting to use MDM705? MDM712 is now available and has many new features and bug fixes. I will soon have it uploaded to MIT-MC and will announce when done. --Keith
