[net.micro.cpm] PMMI 1200 baud S-100 modem dead

From: Keith Petersen <w8sdz@brl>

A recent conversation I had with Craig Brown, President of
PMMI, has confirmed the fact that PMMI will NOT be offering
the 1200 baud S-100 modem that we have been talking about
recently and which has been advertized by PMMI in some
recent magazines. Here's a message from the SYSOP
Clearinghouse RCPM that explains:

Msg 198 is 16 line(s) on 08/29/83 from MARK PULVER
to ALL about PMMI 212 NO LONGER

  What could be worse news...

PMMI has cancelled their contract with Racal-Vadic
to produce the MM-212 S-100 board. PMMI will not be taking
on production of the boards themselves in the near future.
The contract was cancelled due to Racal-Vadic once again
delaying shipments of the boards to PMMI, (the board was
to of been released by June '83). This info comes direct
from PMMI, as of this afternoon. They are presently
composing a letter to be sent out to all who had modems
on order stating the above.
